Key research strengths
Within the C3 the APG focuses on using photosynthetic tools to improve the biological parameters that are used in current climate change models.
The Aquatic Processes Group (APG) has established a significant body of research into
- seagrass, coral reef and Antarctic Sea-Ice ecosystems. Complimentary areas of interest include
- harmful algal bloom dynamics, including ship's ballast, and elemental cycling in aquatic systems.
Emerging research directions within the APG iinclude
- Ocean Microbiology
- Coastal Oceanography
- Biofuels - photobioreactors
Details on individual researchers and student projects can be found in their profiles.
PhD Projects
ARC Linkage Seagrass, Biofuels (applications close 15th June 2012)
Coral Reef Ecology, Antarctic Diatoms (applications close 1st July 2012)
